Yeah that works now.
But can't you add another "cardType"?

Code:
'7i85': 'servo'
Because the 7i85 is neither 'servo' nor 'step'. Just an encoder/communication interface.
And why do you commit the deb packages to the repo? It just increases the size of the repo and takes long time to pull. Isn't it enough to put them in the releases section?

Right now I have two choices stepper and servo, maybe I should drop the 7i85?
I'd have to figure out how to download from the releases section and how to sort out the three different debs... any clues?
Also I make several debs during one release so I need to be able to update them...

Just attach them when you create a release. Or click on edit and add them later.
Would look like this: github.com/hansu/mesact/releases

Yes, maybe it isn't worth to add a new type for this rarely used card.Right now I have two choices stepper and servo, maybe I should drop the 7i85?

I've moved all the old debs into the releases section but I have to leave the latest one so the download button still works on previous releases. The current download button does download from the latest release.
