OK I see Z was 0

Are you sure your analog outputs are connected to the proper channels?

X=1
Y=2
Z=0

Same question as before: Can you read hm2_5i25.0.encoder.01.position (with halmeter) when you physically move the X axis?

You should be able to move X when the machine is powered up but linuxcnc has not been set into the machine-on state
(as the drives should be disabled in this case)

Also in general its not an error to have weird axis/hardware numbering but it is odd and makes mistakes more likely

normally you would have:

X=0
Y=1
Z=2

spindle =5 (on 7I77 since only analog out 5 has an independent enable for spindle control)

I have no movement in the hal meter at all. And x is 1, y is 2 and z is 0.

I powered the machine, removed e stop in linux, did not set machine ready.
I moved the table from one limit to the other with no change in the hal meter

the spindle its self is in 3, it is actually a large swervo (6k rpm) part of the brother system to sycronis the z axis to rpm for fast tapping speeds (2k rpm spindle speeds)

This indicates that the quadrature signals from the drives are not working or not wired correctly to the 7I77

You can check the quadrature wiring with a voltmeter at the 7I77, for example for the X axis, check at TB3
pins

9 A
10 /A

Measuring between these pins you should read somewhere between 3V and 5V
or -3V an -5V, and if you move the X axis around and stop a few times you should see both
polarities ( + and - )

If you dont see both polarities or you see lower voltages when the axis is not moving,
you have a wiring error or a problem with the source.

continuing to check the X axis B pair, check at TB3
pins

12 B
13 /B

And do the same tests shown above

No voltage what so ever when moving the x axis on tb3 pins 9-10 or pins 12-13

there was a small apx. .1 volt from pin 9-10 at all times.

You only measure the voltage when stopped (its expected to be close to 0 when moving)

nothing for voltage readings. moving or stationary. Just the .1 volts

If the drives are powered and you don't get any quadrature output, this suggests a wiring error of some kind

any idea on how to rewire it from the original schematics I sent over.

Also on z axis if I took readings right from the motor would it work due to the machine having revolvers

I would read the signals directly from the drives CN8 pins 9 and 10 for example
(with the 7I77 encoder wiring unplugged), If you get no voltage across CN8 pins 9 and 10
it may be that the quadrature outputs are not line driver outputs (though the drive pictures suggest this)
or that the picture is for a different drive and you dont have the drive end connections right

Also not quite sure what you are saying about Z. I thought all axis had resolvers
(though the resolver connections always go directly to the drive where they are converted
to quadrature signals for the controller)
