replacing original Zaxis glass scale with a import was created by jamby
HI
Looks like i maybe replacing my original Zaxis glass scale with a import from china. The current unit is a acu-rite 10um unit for the 4.5 inch travel of the spindle. The replacement I am looking at is a 150 mm 5um unit.
Big question is can Linuxcnc handle the change in accuracy and will my bridgeport clone become more accurate at the same time??
Thanks
Jim

Hi
what Interface are you using
as the Incoming pulses will double at the time
What is the encoder conected to
the brigeport usaly use Standard stepper so no use of encoders
so if real servos are on YES you will see a better performence on a Encoder scale increese
