Can anyone recognise these Stepper Drives? was created by MattyZee
I'm trying to get some specs on some old stepper drives. They are used in a Multicam (Australia) router connected to an AXYZ control board. Any help in identifying the manufacturer and or specs would be greatly appreciated.
The only markings I could see are "newmicro8" and "Microstepping Drive", neither of which returned any useable results in google.
Thanks

may be a very proprietary equipment, there are very good stepper motors, which are worth it?
can you post detailed pictures of the steppers, please?

Did you replace the main board on your machine to a linux CNC version ?

The machine belongs to friend. I plan on helping him replace the main board and convert to linuxcnc when the original one finally stops working. For now, it aint broke, so i'm leaving it.
We thought the main board was dead about a year ago, as we got a RAM error on startup and nothing worked. Multicam wanted a crazy price for a replacement. I guess because they're old and you have no other choice (if you don't know how to setup linuxcnc)
I have a Mesa 7i96S ready to go to get him up and running ASAP when the time comes.
I would probably replace the drives with a Gecko drive if one fails.
Let me know what you end up doing...
