Lathe 4 axis configuration

I'm setting a lathe with double turret. the question is how do to configure U axis is programmed in the same way that X axis (radial or diameter).

I don't think you can, unfortunately. I have looked through the code and lathe_diameter_mode exclusively refers to the x axis throughout.

It would be a nice addition to LinuxCNC to be able to have:
[TRAJ]
COORDINATES=XUZ
DIAMETERS=XU

For example.

If you always work in diameter mode you can just set up the U axis scaling to move half as far as programmed.
