Playstation Controller to Replace Jogger Pendant

I have seen a couple people use a playstation controller to control other small mills but I don't know if anyone has done it with PathPilot. I would love to know if anyone has or if anyone could figure out how to replace the Tormach jogger with a playstation controller, preferably a wireless one. I think that would be great, I would love to know more about it but I've come to the end of the internet trying to figure it out, anyone here know ?

I found a really cool controller, it's still in development right now but it's the best I've seen so far. I would still love to get any info no other replacements for the pendant, especially the wireless playstation controller. Here are a couple videos:

Though that is a very old set of instructions, and isn't for PathPilot. It might well still be very close, however.

I would not want to guarantee that Pathpilot ships with hal_input though.
