Good day with everyone

First sorry for my english. I am new with LinuxCNC, I have installed the program in Ubuntu precise 12.04, I am using the software with an old milling machine, the controller is a Probotix PBX-2, my question is....
What should I expect if the machine hits a limit switch? when I just connected and configure the machine with the physical limit switches I was expecting for the software to simple stop running as if I press the emergency stop instead I get "joint 0 on limit switch error" (the number dependes which axis the limit switches are attached to 0->X 1->Y 2->Z).

That is the correct and expected behavior. When a limit switch is tripped the machine is placed in "off" and the alarm "joint N on limit switch error" is set. (where N = the joint # of the limit that has been tripped.

In order to restart the machine (with the Axis UI others are simular) you will have to check the box "Override Limits", turn the machine back on (F2), then jog the axis that is on the limit away from it. When the limit is no longer sensed the Override Limits check box will automatically clear and be greyed out. Then, depending on how you've configured your machine, you may be prompted to re-home.

Hello, I did a test with the simulation config and I came to the conclusion that it is normal for the software to display that message once the switch is activated, thanks for your comment, with this I confirm that both the machine and the software are working properly.
