Is there going to be a new live/install CD based on a current supported/stable Linux release coming soon?
Fairly green Linux newb here and need the simplest way. :blush:

There are 2 ready made images of Debian Wheezy and Stretch available for download. Download, make a bootable USB with it, insert, boot, test as much as you like.

The 2.7 Stretch image is close to being made offficial.
