Stretch Distribution Update to Master RT-preempt not working

Hi,
I have downloaded and installed the Stretch Iso from www.linuxcnc.org/testing-stretch-rtpreempt/ and selected the linuxcnc-stretch-uspace-amd64-r13.iso. It installed well. I have tried installing the keys for master but I always get an error. I am using the guide posted by BigJohnT at gnipsel.com/linuxcnc/uspace/debian9-emc.html .

Is there something I have missed that I cannot add the master branch either through terminal or through synaptic?

There is another guide on this forum posted by big John that I followed to get stretch I'll see if I can find the link but it's one of the first things that comes up when you Google linuxcnc on Debian 9

I Have linuxcnc 2.7.14 installed. Iam trying to get it to update to 2.8.

in they synaptic manager search linuxcncand hit reload

also go to settings, repositories and see if one of them is not checked

Thanks, that did the trick. I just have to copy the config files from the working system over and test.

It's going to give you a warning when you first launch that it will update the config files. It will back them up also
