Try the MAX_LIMIT limit at -6

Can you explain your thinking here? Thanks.

#TWOPASS = on Doesn't work, causes load errors

This is unrelated but if you get load errors with TWOPASS it usually indicates that something is not quite right in a .hal file

I was going to suggest setting maxlimit to +0.1 just so that G53 Z0 is not _on_ the limit.

Do you have a PID in the system?

BTW, I finally figured out what was going on. In Fusion 360, I had defined the “Machine Configuration.” This includes a Home Position for each axis, and mine was set to 15 mm for some reason. The post processor would issue a move to the machine configuration’s home position at the end of each program, thus exceeding the limit. Not sure why loading the program wouldn't trigger a warning, though. But fixing the Machine Configuration in Fusion 360 fixed this problem.

Thanks for coming back with that. I can see that might come up again, so worth filing away.

It may not be appropriate to mention here, but my limit was also set to g53 z0 and about 20% of programs would have an exceed positive Z limit. Moving g53 z0 to 0.001 below the machine limit solved the problem, but bumped it to 0.010 just cause. Perhaps there is floating point error accumulation in the limit checking code? (Axis and recent build of LinuxCNC 2.8)
