Why real time kernel is needed with board like MESA?
If folk want to have a commercialised arm to LinuxCNC then it is simply a matter of forking it and getting like minded individuals, corporations or whatever on board and doing it. Then you can do what you want and leave us folk that are happy to work on a project not contaminated by $$$ behind.

What's worse is that we do not appreciate our strategic lag behind the Far Eastern countries !!! There, as you can see, this is a question that always stands, even in front of the scientific institutions for which finances are provided. Are there no such in the Western world? We forget how Arduino, Raspberry and others appeared in the first place!
But, what to do, one day, someone else will try, if it already makes sense. The Chinese people will have flooded the market with cheap $ 100 controllers with a menu half English / Chinese, and we will watch them.
I think that the main difference between - working software (open source) + controller and commercial product, may even be just the installation training and maintenance. While most people think that the difference should be mainly in the built-in functionality.
That's why I'm sure what I'm talking about already exists, but it's not an open source.
Yes, you may think I'm naive, but the truth is that we will have to fight against a very organized "enemy", which scientific developments created by universities with public finances, then distributes them to any company that wants to produce and export them!
I deviated again, sorry!

It is no accident that I am writing these things. Their scientific developments yesterday gave them the opportunity today to have a flexible system with incredible capabilities.
