Well, it's not that it can't be done. I converted an F5 model to CNC, replacing the acme lead screws to ball screws. It's just that the Y lead screw sits inside the gearbox with all the oil splashing around so it's difficult to attach the servo motor to the screw if you don't want to attach it to the handwheel, as I did,
I also converted a Deckel FP2 that was much easier.

I would like to take a smaller one because of the space... in my environment it is difficult to cooperate with the people who do the processing service, everything is waiting and they lie a lot from today to tomorrow:)

Same here, so i just do what i can do.
Example, had a block of copper and send it for machining into 2 watercooling blocks for CPU's, still waiting, 21 years later.
And it is almost impossible to find a block of copper here, everything gets sold for scrap due to high price.

everyone is looking to hit a series, no one wants to splurge for a few pieces, even if you overpay them...also, there are fewer and fewer real masters. I found a old man in Belgrade, was waiting for him one month, to make me a knife holder, that's what's left of the real ones..21 years:))) madhouse, brother
