sim_encoder - phase A and B not in quadrature - always in antiphase was created by frogandspanner

I am using sim_encoder with speeds selected as -50 or +50. Halscope shows phase-A and Phase-B pi out of phase rather than pi/2 3pi/2.

This is not what I expected.
