Error when compiling user module

I am trying to compile a user kinamatics module for a RIP environment using master branch.
If I use the template userkfuncs.c to test the compile, I get the error as well.
Code:
Compiling realtime userkfuncs.c Linking userkfuncs.so /usr/bin/ld:userkfuncs.ver:2: syntax error in VERSION script collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [/usr/share/linuxcnc/Makefile.modinc:125: userkfuncs.so] Error 1

This happens for the RIP and the debs installation.
Any suggestions please?

Marius

Can't help you there but as an alternative you could use the 'src/hal/components/millturn.comp' file as a template for your switchable kinematics which can then be installed like any component using 'halcompile'

Just came to that conclusion after I read your thread on the topic. I tested the comp template and it compiled just fine. We are busy switching over.
This has been a very frustrating journey with the kinematics.
