Manual mode controls reversed

Manual mode controls reversed was created by jtupulis
Hi,
I just finished configuring my printnc CNC. Everything works fine except two things:
a) Y axis manual control via up and down arrow keys is reversed. Y axis moves forward when I press down key and vice versa. I tried to reverse Y axis Direction pin, but that led to the problem that Y axis crashed into the mounts after homing (homing happened in the right direction).
b) Spindle controls are reversed - speed decreases when I press + and increases when I press -
All config done via stepconf, no manual adjustments to .hal and .ini (attached). Please help me figure it out.

try running the sample program and see if your y axis is reversed/mirrored, and compare the actual machine position to linuxcnc to what you thing it should be
for your spindle, you probably need to open up hal, and compare the signals its sending to whats happening. start up your spindle and see how the spindle pins change in halshow,

Thanks for the suggestions!
I just did the first cut with the CNC. It appears that it's not just keys, the Y axis is mirrored...
