Thank you so much!. My netbook, as already mentioned, has 2 gigabytes of ram and an SD, I don't know if a cable with a parallel port, via USB, that is functional to work directly with the GSK 980 TDb will be valid, which board do they use to connect to the lathe, after the parallel port?. It shouldn't be very difficult, since the cable of said lathe is a vga type, but with only 3 very thin cables, I think I read in your manual that that little lathe is 32 bits... Thank you very much again! Very kind for your patience with me.... Congratulations!...

USB to parallel port adapters do not work with LinuxCNC.
Also, not VGA cable, that should be serial port with 9 pins and 3 thin wires, whereas VGA has 15 pins, but they do have the same outside dimensions.

VGA 3 rows of pins
9 & 25 Pin serial 2 rows of pins.

VGA will fit into a serial port, hammer, lube & wire cutters required to remove pins, guaranteed to not work.

Hello JT, I hope to be able to respond promptly to your email. Why don't you use LinuxCNC?
Will I be able to see your machine online, running with your Ubuntu?
I think, LinuxCNC 32 Bits, isn't it more complete than your Ubuntu with LinuxCNC? I made a small mess of talk, because I wanted to use my 32-bit HP Mini, but it does not offer me a parallel port, and it is the one that distorts my image when booting LinuxCNC 32, it did boot Ubuntu correctly and hence my talk.
But I have forgotten the parallel port that the School's LinuxCNC 32-bit cpu offers me, which I have installed on the old 32-bit cpus, with 512 megabytes of ram, IDE mechanical disk, and I loved how fast they were, fluid, that I even installed games on them, to stimulate my students. So, if the 512 megabytes of ram work very well in your Ubuntu, in the 32-bit LinuxCNC, do they also work well? Or do you need more hardware? Thank you very much!... Congratulations!...

Muchisimas Gracias!...

Did you try running the machine with it?
Did you try running the included PARPORT/AXIS/AXIS_MM config ? Does this report warnings when running?
Make a config for your machine, set the base period to 100000, everything else at default, try running it and see if it complains about latency.

While LinuxCNC is running, open a terminal and type
sensors
Check the CPU temperature, if it is over 60 degree C, check the fan and remove the CPU cooler, clean and repaste the CPU, test again.
Also visually check the motherboard capacitors for bulging and/or leaks, if any are bulging replace the PC.
Same as above for power supply, if capacitors are bulging replace the PS.
In BIOS, disable hyperthreading (this is a must), disable turbo, speedstep, PCI-E aggressive power management, modem, sound, TPM, secure boot, etc, anything regarding power saving.

Hola!. Gracias!...
