Hi I try to invert the enable logic on my mesa 7i96s without luck.# --- MACHINE-IS-ENABLED ---setp hm2_7i96s.0.ssr.invert.00 truenet machine-is-enabled => hm2_7i96s.0.ssr.00.out-00

But the signal is still not inverted. Any help on this?

my connection is
5v ->   ena+
ena- ->  out+(mesa)
out- -> gnd

now it is when it is enabled the driver is disabled

inverting the SSR output will work _BUT_ it will not have the desired effect
because after a LinuxCNC fault or before LinuxCNC is running, the drives will
be enabled.

If you cannot invert the _DISABLE_ function on your drive, its best to logically
invert the signal externally, one way would be:

+5V --> 47 Ohm 1W --> All drive _DISABLE_+ inputs
GND --> All drive _DISABLE_ - inputs

7I96S OUT0+ --> All drive _DISABLE_+ inputs
7I96S OUT0-   --> GND

That could work. But why do you choose a 47 ohm 1W resistor? That sounds so small. As a pull up I normally choose more in the 1k range

OK thank you your suggestion worked with a 1k resistor.

I chose 47 Ohms because most OPTO inputs on step drives need
significant current (up to 10 mA each). I wanted to make sure that
The voltage at the (paralleled) ENA+ input was close to 5V when the
SSR was off.
