Beginner Building a CNC - Questions About EtherCAT with Delta A2 and In

For basic step/dir servos, a 7I76EU should do (by itself)

The 7I76EU has:

5 axis of step/dir outputs
32 digital inputs (5 to 24V)
16 digital outputs (5 to 24V)
Isolated analog 0..10V output for VFD spindle speed control
encoder input for spindle synchronized motion
2 parallel expansion ports (for additional step/dir or encoder channels)
1 serial expansion port (for more digital I/O

I believe I’ve found the ideal combination: using a Mesa 7i95T together with a 7i85

7i95t for 6 axis xyzca and in future spindle servo and 7i85 for toll changer

If I’m mistaken or missing something, I’d appreciate your corrections.

No, not yet, nor am i aware of anyone working on it.

This might be something you already know or don’t need at all, but I learned way too late that there's a plugin called Mesact that really helps when configuring the 7i95T. The standard pncconf wizard doesn't properly support the 7i95T, so Mesact can save you a lot of time and hassle.

After talking to the Mesa electronic support team ( they are awesome), I placed my order for two boards 

mesa7i95t
mesa7i85s

The arrival would take at least 60 days !!! 

Currently, I am just waiting
