Thanks Rod, labeling is not easy to do as you can not edit these in PNCCONF.
You are absolutely correct that is what I want to enable the machine, used to have it this way with Kflop Mach3 setup earlier.
Still having issues with my local network so I have to run up and down to reda/write here = more exercise..
In what section of the halfile do I edit and insert this?
machine_enable <= iocontrol.0.user-request-enable
machine_enable => hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.output-15

Time to start hand editing I think. PNCCONF is pretty incomplete. I have built all of my config by hand.
It does not really matter where things go in the hal file. Just as long as its after the loadrt and addf sections.
You could put it above
# external output signals
But over time, I settled on keeping the signals and stuff for each part of the hal together
Also if that iocontrol does not work, try motion.motion-enabled instead.

And I know that feeling.We have 2 floors in our house too. I added a wifi access point in the garage just for LinuxCNC. I've got a Synology NAS on my network and my LCNC machine has its own home folder on it which I use to share data to and from.

No change still same issue, but now I see that CR1 is on when LCNC loads.
Maybe above start.txt can explain what is going on.
suddenly I can connect from my workshop, did move around some equipment on the network.

This how it looks like today with Mesa boards 7i76E and 7i85S + security relays.
Lots of free space compare to original Siemens rack that did occupy the whole cabinet.

I have now tested following:
setp hm2_7i76e.0.7i76.0.0.output-15 TRUE
Output goes TRUE but nothing happens
Have looking at wires and all looks OK, can this have anything to do with CR1 led that is ON
In normal operation CR1 and CR2 will be off. If either is on after power-up there is a problem with configuring the FPGA.
So what next, any ideas what to do other than wait for Peter to chime in here.
Cheers
Bengt
