Does any one can tell me the parameters for Nema24 3N.m Closed Loop Stepper Servo Motor 88mm + HSS60
I change my old stepper motors and drivers to Nema24 3N.m Closed Loop Stepper Servo Motor 88mm + HSS60 and now when i move forward and backward any value below 0.05 the machine axis starts to increment almost 0.01 at each step forward and backward.
I try all the resolution of the stepper driver without luck.
OLD ____> New
2005 Ballscrew _____> 2010 Ballscrew
425 oz stepper _____> Nema24 3N.m Closed Loop Stepper Servo Motor 88mm
Driver DM860a _____> Driver HSS60

require a 2500ns step rate
you shoudt setup for
2500
2500
8000
12000
and give your mashine a best off timingbelt system for 2005 it is 20/25 Teeth so 1,25
for the 2010 it is 2.5 to get 0,01 accuracy at max speed
but you may look for a better one so stay with 20/25 at 400steps halfstepping for best speed and 0,005mm acuracy per step
As lower the microstepping as better the mashine performence
as special on NOT Direct Motor Drive SAYing timingbelt Smooth start
I got a mashine running 12m/min at this drivers 2Nm Stepepr Hybrid No steploos in 4hr Shift at 2800mm(min
Sculping

Hello,
Do you have mesa 7i76e?
How do you wired your driver to mesa card?
I i have my hal file with hm2_7i76e.0.stepgen.00.step_type 0 the motor doesn't move if i put hm2_7i76e.0.stepgen.00.step_type 2 it moves but i have this problem with steps forward and backward.
The problem is the driver.... the motor... the 7i76e or the ballscrew?
Can you share your ini and hal file?

times are too short or you have the step polarity wrong.
As a first try, I would select mode 0, double your step times and try again...

If i chose mode 0 the motor stand still

And 7I76e wired to the drive with dir+,dir-,puls+,puls- ?

I think a very important thing that's often missed here is that the drive timing numbers are _minimums_, that is, they are on the edge of not working at all, because of this you should never chose drive minimums as a starting point.
