I have a machine that needs 2x 7I44 rs485 cards and a 7I84 IO card. I have a 5I24-25 FPGA to connect everything to the computer. I see the pncconf doesn't currently support the 5I24 cards, How should I go about getting linuxCNC configured and getting the correct firmware for the fpga card.

What other I/O do you need?

The 7i84 is all I plan on using for IO. The rs485/422 cards need to interface to 7 fanuc encoders, 4 servo drives, a vfd, and the 7i84.

The SSerial for the 7I84 and Fanuc encoders are supported but generic
RS-422/485 devices are not currently supported by the driver.
There is a FPGA UART device that supports RS-485 line turnaround but it is not fully supported by the LinuxCNC driver so doing things like Modbus would be awkward..

The drives don't need a full modbus protocol, its basically just a ASCII stream. I'm using rs485/422 since its more immune to noise, it gets converted to uart at the drives.

I think that I would be tempted to generate a 5i25 config just to set up the file structure and then basically delete all of the HAL and start from scratch.
Your config is going to look very much unlike a normal config anyway.

It sounds like a fun one.
