7i96 configuration for servo motor use case

Hi all,

I want to configure my 7i96 mesa card to control 3 DC-Servomotors ( I also intend to use 7i33TA daughter board)
But pncconf does not allow me to choose any pwm generators. I'm only able to choose 5 step generators.
As far as I read 7i96 should generate a PWM + direction signal and the 7i33 board converts it into an analog voltage of +/-10V.

How do I have to proceed?
Thanks and best Regards
Gerhard

How had you intended to connect the 7I33 to the 7I96?

Via P1 expansion connector of 7i96

It should be possible but requires a special cable and there are not
enough pins for 3 full axis unless some PWM enables are combined
or encoder index pins are not used.

There wont be any pncconf support for this but you could copy/paste
that relevant servo hal code from a 7I33 example configuration

Thanks for your support.
so what would be the best approach since pncconfig generates error messages "you forgot to define a stepper or pwm-signal for x/y/z axis" and does me not allow to proceed. Just configuring 3 random step generators and later on deleting them in the hal?
I know that a special assembled ribbon cable connection is necessary since one connector has 50 pins while the other one only has 26 pins.
So in principle 6 signals are needed for controlling the 3 axes and 9 signals for the three DRO encoders --> 15 signals in total

could not find anything in the web, can you please provide a link?
-thanks-

If you use the pnconf 7I80HD --> SV12 selection as a starting point, that should be close

Or if I am only going to use a single AC servo motor with +- 10 volt control, could I use a standard firmware?I understand that I can use the 7i92 or 7i96 or 7i96s card with the 7i33AT card, in case you only want to control an Av servo with +- 10 volts, could you use a standard firmware that has a PWM generator?

You could have 3 axis (minus 1 index) with a funny cable connecting the 7I96 expansion connector to the 7I33, and 7I96 firmware that (partially) supports
the 7I33
