I was recently tasked to create a new tab, however the python file for the tab does not seem to be run at any point. I have mostly copied code from another tab we created that works just fine.
When running linuxcnc the tab is created, however buttons etc. does not work how they should. The hal file is also run because i receive an error for a pin that does not exist, because the pin is created first thing in the python file. Additionally print methods called first thing in the init file are not shown as would be if run in other tabs's python file.
I have used these commands in my ini-file:
EMBED_TAB_NAME=Measure
EMBED_TAB_COMMAND=halcmd loadusr -Wn measure gladevcp -c measure -u measure.py -x {XID} -H measure.hal measure.ui
The command is identical to other tab calls that work.
I have created the ui with glade-gtk2.
Additionally i have made sure that i have full permission for the python-file.
Have anyone encountered this before ?
