Homing Issue was created by Niskyspy
Hi All,

I can't figure out the homing configuration for my mini mill. I am using 7i96 card with LMS 3990 The axis moves at HOME_SEARCH_VEL toward the homing switch, it triggers the switch and zeros out the axis The issue I am having is that
the axis does not back off for a recheck HOME_LATCH_VEL. It just stays right in position with the switch engaged.

I've tried changing the values and sign (+/-) for HOME_SEARCH_VEL, HOME_LATCH_VEL, SCALE, HOME, HOME_OFFSET but just cant get it to work.

What version? Homing changed in V 2.8

But this is my code with seperate home and limit switches.
Code:
MIN_LIMIT = -0.01 MAX_LIMIT = 1258 HOME_OFFSET = 45 HOME_SEARCH_VEL = -100 HOME_LATCH_VEL = 10 HOME_FINAL_VEL = 50 HOME_USE_INDEX = NO HOME_SEQUENCE = -1

And with shared home/limit on Z axis
Code:
MIN_LIMIT = -84 MAX_LIMIT = 0.001 HOME_OFFSET = 1.0 HOME_SEARCH_VEL = 10 HOME_LATCH_VEL = 5 HOME_FINAL_VEL = 10 HOME_USE_INDEX = NO HOME_SEQUENCE = 0 HOME_IGNORE_LIMITS = YES

I looked into more after work and it was a faulty switch, it would open contact for a microsecond and the close. Replaced the switch and it’s working like a charm. Love Linux CNC!!!
