Lowpassfilter for what?

I am not shure, but what is the lowpassflter in linuxcncn for?

It's somthing to do with plasmacutter?

It is for anything that a low pass filter can be used for. Many of the HAL components have multiple uses. lowpass is often used to display a smoothed version of the spindle speed in a GUI, for example. But it might also be appropriate to filter an arc voltage signal.

Note that it is generally best _not_ to filter the input to a PID component, as that affects the response.
