I was in the synaptic manager on weezy trying to update and viewing various threads here. I only have 2.7 selected as a repository but when I start Linux CNC it is 2.8. pre on the splash screen.

I'm not sure how I ended up with it

I figured it out, I enabled the 2.8 master branch for install.
