Hello,
My question about LinuxCNC installing on Kaby Lake based system.
Firstly, I want to say that I used "Debian 7 Wheezy ISO with 3.4.9 rtai kernel" and it works fine, but my machine have Kaby Lake CPU and Intel HD Graphics 610 card. Debian 7 includes old vesion of intel/vesa driver and my device isn't work. I tryed to install new version of video driver, but unsuccessfully. Can anybody send me worked ISO with fresh video driver and RTAI kernel? Thank you and sorry for my english.

Try the Stretch ISO found here with preempt_rt: www.linuxcnc.org/testing-stretch-rtpreempt/

If you really need RTAI there are some new RTAI packages for Stretch or Buster.

and I updated my post above as well. Doubt if it works with Wheezy.

UPD:

I installed linuxcnc-stretch-uspace-amd64-r13.iso and check latency:
~136000
After that I removed linuxcnc and installed 4.14.132-rtai kernel with user version of linuxcnc. Latency test showed: ~30000

It is very fine for my work, but I need dev version to add my changes.

I removed linuxcnc and download linuxcnc-dev version. I typed "make" command and it crashed with error (attached). I think this problem with changes in new kernel. But default version worked. Why?)

I don't know what you mean by "linuxcnc-dev version".

Andy's packages don't require any building, just installing.

If you want to build from source here is the howto:

Thank you again, Bari.

"You must first apply all patches to LinuxCNC located in the linuxcnc_patches directory of the NTULINUX/RTAI repository before you run ./autogen.sh inside it's source tree." - it is the solution
