Raspberry Pi 4 RT Preempt Kernel

There are many packages to install
erste.de/raspi4-RT-kernel-howto.html#compile_linCNC_on_Raspi4
Is there any way this can be incorporated into the standard installation procedure?

What "standard installation procedure" are you speaking about?

I was thinking of the standard linuxcnc installation.
There is nothing special in that for the RPi4, only the dependencies need to be resolved.
When they are resolved, it is just to compile linuxcnc following the usual linuxcnc instructions.
The raspbian is based on buster so there can be many things gotten for free from the Intel buster.
I guess. I think of the "dpkg-checkbuilddeps" command but don't know how that works.
And I gave away my RPi4 yesterday, so I can't check.

I walked through the whole Raspberry install and build process today and it worked great except for one minor blip.
"Now build and install LinuxCNC
debuild -uc -us"
should be
"Now build and install LinuxCNC
sudo debuild -uc -us"
I think.....without sudo it would error out and halt.
Thanks for all the effort you put into this John!!

Or you can download a Raspian SD card image, with preempt-rt kernel from here:
