We need to purge raspi-firmware packages in LinuxCNC ISO (AMD64 version)

Hi! The LinuxCNC ISO distribution includes Raspberry Pi firmware packages (raspi-firmware) that serve no purpose on AMD64 systems since they're specifically designed for Raspberry Pi hardware. However, these packages create a significant problem: they prevent the installation of other firmware packages that are actually needed for proper hardware support on x86_64 systems. The main issue is with Realtek Ethernet hardware, which requires specific firmware to function correctly. The presence of raspi-firmware packages blocks the installation of these necessary Realtek firmware packages, leaving users with non-functional network adapters.
This is essentially a packaging conflict where Pi-specific firmware interferes with the installation of legitimate x86_64 hardware drivers. The fix is straightforward but important for users who need working Ethernet connectivity (Realtek).
Temporary solution: apt purge raspi-firmware

Thanks AI
Maybe once Debian has got their money from the AI techbros they might be able to fix this.

Well it would be polite to state it is an AI generated post.
To the issue, it's a very common issue that has been discussed at length many times. Unfortunately it's a Debian issue that they are yet to resolve.

What about removing the package from the image file?

The issue is the installer itself, the image uses the standard Debian installer, which for some reason installs the RPi stuff. So it's not as simple as removing the package, this has been an on going issue for the last couple of releases.
I thought I should explain a little more regarding the AI thing. At a certain time of day the forum gets bombarded by users creating spam accounts and a lot of the time it is AI generated, so anything that appears that way I become somewhat suspicious of. And also being of "arrogant English heritage" I assume everyone speaks English, tho being from Australia what we speak is far removed from the Queen's English. So I offer my apologies for my reaction to your opening post.
Regards
Rob
Actually after hearing about some of Debian's recent "woke actions" and now wanting funding from the above mentioned AI techbros I wondering if an alternate distro would be better. I know they claim it's "just to help Devs" one done wonder.
Another apology for going off topic.

The installer supresses it and its not installed but as soon as there is an apt update, it comes back. Very annoying. This was present in the original release of Debian Bookworm and it was fixed in the first update but the update were never pushed to the Debian Builder we use to make the iso (which is what we should use to follow the Deban way)What about removing the package from the image file?
