Installing 2.10 master

There are versions 2.10-pre1 and 2.10-pre2.
The changes are so significant that they should be treated as entirely different programs.
2.10-pre1 is essentially an improved version of 2.9 with some new features added.
2.10-pre2 uses different variable types; in practice, older code is incompatible with it, and existing configurations either fail to launch altogether or do not function correctly.
Therefore, it is important to specify which version you are using—or at least the date you downloaded the source code (development for 2.10-pre1 ended in September; source code downloaded in October would already be 2.10-pre2).
As for your specific issue, it could be a bug in LinuxCNC, or it could be an error on your part.
Using the "run from line" feature is considered very poor practice, as the state of the machine is often unknown.
For example:
`g90 g53 g0 x20` will execute correctly.
`g91 g53 g0 x20` will trigger an error and refuse to run.
The problem is that G90 and G91 are modal codes—meaning they remain in effect until explicitly changed or cancelled. When you start a program from a specific line, you have no way of knowing what was (or wasn't) executed beforehand.
G53 will also refuse to operate in various other scenarios—I won't list them all here, but it is worth being aware of this.
Consequently, it is difficult to say whether there is an actual bug in the software, or if everything is working as intended—and your expectations simply differ from how the system operates.

First of all, there is no such thing as "LinuxCNC 2.10."I managed to get 2.10 installed.

You must have some G91 in your code, and if you stop there you have to restore to G90 in MDI is my guess before starting a new one.
G90 in MDI should fix your issue.
Mind that the forum in is transition and these latest posts will be deleted in a few hours, thank you for you patience
