Integrating ethercat with QTplasmaC and Beckhoff modules

Integrating ethercat with QTplasmaC and Beckhoff modules was created by GFC
Over the last year I have been building a gantry plasma table with leadshine el8 servos and Beckhoff modules for I/O, I struggle a lot with software but have managed to get the motion going and calibrated in the axis interface following the guide below, the config files that worked are also below in a zip file.
The thing I need help with is how to integrate all of this into QtPlasmaC and how to map the I/O of the Beckhoff modules into the software.
I have a EK1100 coupler, an EL1008 digital input, an EL2008 digital output and EL3102 analog input to read the divided arc voltage.
Can anybody give any help, or tips on how to do this?

qplasmac is a complicated GUI. Normally, it is set up assuming a mesa card using pncconf.
I think I would try running up pncconf and build a rough config for a 7i96s. You just need a template for all of the plasma specific pins so pick a mesa pin to use for each. don't worry about scaling the axes etc
Then I would copy the pin layout to your hal file and make sure any plasma specific stuff in the ini file is copied to your ini file, then replace the Mesa pins with your lcec pins.
With linuxcnc running open another window and type halcmcd show pin lcec should list all your Ethercat pins and you could probably filter out just the inputs or outputs
Also reviewing recent plasmac configs on the forum may help
I have one but its a very complex one with lots of custom stuff so would not recommend following it github.com/rodw-au/showstopper/tree/master
In the qtplasmac GUI, there is a couple of fields for THCAD parameters. Set the offset to 0 and scale to 1 and use the actual torch volts. You may need to use mult2 to calculate the full scale voltage. Alternatively, use the scaling field which might be better.
Good luck

First of all thank you for the help
with your tips I managed to get a list of all the I/O pins and managed to test the inputs manually
I also managed to create and edit a qtplasmac config the way you suggested, now I can get it to run
I managed to get these things working:
-QtPlasmaC interface
-motion on all axis when jogging the machine
-external E-stop
-torch break detection switch
-machine enable output turning on a light
but im still having some problems:
- cant get a torch on output signal when I do a torch pulse
- the ohmic probe enable doesn't output any signal
-when I hit cycle start the G code pauses without moving the machine
what are the best ways to debug this situation and what should I be looking for?
all config files in a zip file below
Thank you again

Glad you made progress.
I think some signals are still not connected, Its too long ago for me to be specific. I seem to remember there was a system Hal file somewhere that hooked up all the signals to where they belong. In your ini file you refer to HALFILE = qtplasmac_comp.hal and I can't see that in your config folder which might be the file I refer to. finding that file and copying it into your config folder might fix it.
But now you are past the ethercat stage, I think you should post in the plasmac section where Phil and Snowgoer the maintainers will see your post, probably link back to this post and attach your config again.
