You sayed you patched something? Do you use 2.6 or 2.7 or master?

loadrt probe-parport should work, but I do not know why it does not on your machine.

The postgui hal stuff may be caused, because you do use the manual toolchange stuff in your hal file.

You may include NO_FORCE_HOMING = 1 in your ini to not to need to home.

Many thanks for getting back to me.

I started with a clean install from the hybrid 2.6 cd and the got Linux to do the update to 2.7 (I think) also updated Gmoccapy to 1.5 something.

I don't have an ATC so I manually change tools so do I need loadrt probe-parport commented out.

I have read about NO_FORCE_HOMING = 1 but I had forgotten I will try it tomorrow

Question. should it be possible to jog with the physical keyboard as when I press the arrow keys it moves the tabs instead of jogging.

Hallo Clive,

please read 5.10 from WIKI regarding the tool change stuff.

Jogging with pysical keyboard is possible, but you will have to switch it on on the settings page. Please read 7.2.2 from WIKI

Thanks I now have the physical keyboard working. :woohoo:

Can you tell me exactly where I have to put NO_FORCE_HOMING in the ini file Ie. do I put it in each axis section if so do I have to comment out this stuff

HOME_OFFSET = 0.000000
HOME_SEARCH_VEL = -10.000000
HOME_LATCH_VEL = 1.562500
HOME_IGNORE_LIMITS = YES

(I do have home switches on this machine) but I want to use it for testing without the switches .

I have read section 5.1 in the WIKI but I can't see yet what I have to do re the loadrt probe-parport so as the program will load without commenting this out.

I am getting there slowly.

Thanks That's helpful So no harm in leaving it commented out.

Thanks the link is an interesting and informative read.
