RS485 For Hypertherms
Please find attached the diagram, If you need anything changed let me know.
Thanks Stefan, could you:
remove "Jaycar P/N: " and just leave "XC4136" as that seems to be a common part number for that product.
change: "RS232 PCI Card using same connector as on about USB/RS485 Converter"
to: "RS232 PCI Card using same connector as the above USB/RS485 Converter"
and I will put in as is.

This looks good, and is very helpful! It may be prudent to show how the 5 pins on the terminal block shown correspond to the actual DB9 connector in the event that the 5 pin terminal block connector isnt available. I can only find 9 pin terminal block versions on Amazon. Although I believe your chart does have enough description to get you there.
Just a thought! Thanks again.
Just something I thought of. I am not sure if all of the RS232 cards have the same DB9 pins for the same signals. Maybe if someone can confirm that is a standard, I will map my DB9 connector and post the pinout. I just dont have a lot of time to research that at the moment.

Ok I will map the my connector pins tomorrow and modify the reference doc. I will just make a note that it is specifically for that connector.

I don't think it is worth worrying about, so long as the pin function is known is should be no problem.

Ok, yeah I think the main thing is knowing the pinout on the plasma unit and if you create your own DB9 plug you would just need to map the correct signals together. The reference doc does show the mapping so most people should be able to figure it out.
