Error trying to cut with conversational

New Error just received

Text from error message. Doesn't matter what i press, QtPlasmaC just shuts down.

AttributeError: 'HandlerClass' object has no attribute 'xSaved'

Start linuxcnc from a terminal and look for any error messagesn in the terminal. From your other thread you seem to be connecting to a pin multiple times.

 

This one's on me, sorry about that, this was the result of a copy/paste error on line 5179 of the handler. 

I submitted a pull request to fix it; thank you for the bug report!

In the meantime, you can work around it by pressing "CLEAR" on the main tab before going into the Conversational

Is that clear button in the sim? I dont see it.

We encountered the same issue. When will there be a fix for this ? Can and how can I revert to a previous version so we don't have this issue, it's a bit annoying to get an error like this for us who use a machine in a workshop.

Fix was submitted about 6am my time (PA, USA).  I am sure when Phill wakes up and gets to it he will commit the fix.

I assure you I’m more annoyed with myself for missing it than you could be with me.

edit:  No real need to revert.  Pressing CLEAR before entering the conversational negates the need to press NEW in conversational

master branch (2.9) is a development branch and these types of issue can be expected.
We are happy to refund part of the purchase price.

Still a big thank you for all who have developed QtPlasmaC, it is an amazing bit of software. And I suppose these little issues serve well to stop us from getting complacent
