Well, I ran into t bit of a problem becasue I wanted to use Norberts updates to Gmocappy in Master and Dewey's external offset code in a different branch.
I managed to merge the two together with these codes:
The other problem is that the original code I had to show the up and down direction via LEDs in the GUI, the pin I used no longer exists. So I wrote a HAL component to do this for me. I have to say I am enjoying writing components to fix things, It does not take long, puts me back in the familiar C language and they only take seconds to compile and install.
I've attached the .comp and here is an example based on the gmocappy plasma signals.hal file
I managed to merge the two together with these codes:
Code:
git checkout master
git pull
git checkout dgarr/external_offsets
git pull
git rebase -i master
git checkout master
git merge dgarr/external_offsets

loadrt showzdir names=zdir
addf showzdir servo-thread
net z-position axis.z.pos-cmd => zdir.zpos-cmd
net z-moves-up zdir.z_moving-up => signals.led-move-up
net z-moves-up zdir.z_moving-down => signals.led-move-down

Tommy, I had no idea you were so observant :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
So now I think I need to come up with an alternative to the circuit board.....

Andy, I remade it today and reworked the way it mounts up as the sockets for the steppers caused it to bend.
.And a quick bit of milling
And it fits up quite nicely with a couple of drilled and tapped holes.
[
And all back together and powered up
But it did not fix my problem. I was beginning to suspect Gmocappy so I rolled back to Axis but I can't get it out of estop. I did post a separate thread but if you have nay ideas on where to go as I am stiumped.

lt's been a while but Lee finally had time to weld the rest of the table for me.
You can see why I asked him to weld up this for me
I certainly would not be showcasing one of my pathetic beads.
And by the end of the night, I had a table!
I just hope we welded the drag chain support on the right side!
We just have to sort out the material support slats. I have a feeling my original design is not going to be sturdy enough but right now, that is the least of my problems.

Well, I got some of the table assembled today and the gantry ends are in place
I am happy with the clearance between the gantry ends and the table.
Hopefully, it will help keep the rails clean tucked so far back.
Its kinda funny, when I was looking at the gantry ends, they looked to long but now they are assembled, they look correct and in proportion.
I am hoping I will be able to get a bit more together over the Easter break.
