So My brother and I converted a PM-940V to a CNC machine.

-Stepperonline drivers and motors
-Mesa 7176 card
-Currently has a touch probe, tool height probe, limit and homing switches, misting, and a work light.
-We have the piston for an automatic drawbar working (we still have to attach to to the drawbar and make the mount)
-After a few rebuilds and GUI changes - LinuxCNC version 2.8.4 (i believe) and probe basic for the GUI

As we started adding features, I moved the control box from the tool cart to the mill itself due to the number of wires that ended up going to the control box.   Now I only have the network cable from the cart to the mill (as opposed to 14 sets)

I see the head tilts. If you have a rotary axis and a spindle encoder then you can hob gears. (the tilting head is the hard part to add if you don't have it)

What did you use for the ball screws and plates? Did you create your own or use a purchased kit?
