Hi again,
Is it possible to include a cam view tab in QTdragon? Or better, has anybody done it? I am not a developer...
Regards

Yes, it already has one. You need to enable it in the Settings tab.

Hi Jim,
is it possible that I have an outdated version? I installed the 2.8.1 Version of LinuxCNC on Buster RTAI as described in the documentation.
I don't see the option to enable the camera...
Also it looks to me that something may be wrong with the styles of my installation. The buttons for jogging are barely visible.
A screenshot is attached.
Thank you for your help!

Yeah, that is really old. Have you done an update/upgrade? You should have the latest linuxcnc 2.8 installed and then run the qtdragon sim configuration.
I have 2.9 installed so I can't even open the 2.8 sim configs to verify anything.

That looks right for 2.8.1 I don't believe it got the camera tab before release.
The color style can be change by pressing F12 and opening and applying a new style.
A camera tab can can be added to a custom screen.

If you want to try out the latest version, which has the camera interface, you can download the files from github.com/persei802/QtDragon. Keep in mind, this is in active development and will change from time to time.

Jim ... Are you sure they will work in 2.8.1? I kinda doubt it
If all you want is basic Cam window (zoom cross hair circle) add this file in your configuration folder

I guess I forgot to mention you would have to install 2.9 as well.

Thanks to both of you Jim and Chris,
I was going to ask if I could update my QTDragon without installing 2.9.
I will try your files later, Chris.
Is there an established process to update the QTdragon in an existing installation?
If not, could we define one here? This may be interesting for others, too.
Chris, where could I get or how could I generate the files you provided? Could they be downloaded from github?
Best regards,
Domca
