Using CNC Mill in "Manual" mode was created by hunterlong
Hey all,

I've had a lot of fun learning a few basic G codes (mainly G01) and using my CNC mill in manual mode. However, one thing that I don't understand. Is there anyway to cancel a movement before it is finished executing?

Say that I type into MDI "G01Y10F5" which should move to y=5in with a feedrate of 5 inches per minute. What if part of the way through the cut I want to stop the movement. Is there a command I can type to do this, other than pressing the E-stop?

Thanks,
-Hunter

Edit:
Almost forgot, there is a typo in your original message:

Say that I type into MDI "G01Y10F5" which should move to y=5in with a feedrate of 5 inches per minute.

should be:
Say that I type into MDI "G01Y10F5" which should move to y=10in with a feedrate of 5 inches per minute.
