G93 feed mode on non-trivial machines.

This is a call for help concerning cutter feed control in G code, specifically G93.
I recently managed, with essential help from Andy Pugh, to start running two
SCARA type routers with LinuxCNC. Based on what I’ve read, and on practical
tests using G94, to get constant feed in non-trivial machines like these, I should
use G93. This has been tried, making sure a realistic time inverse feed value
exists on each line starting with G1, or axis moves on lines thereafter. When I
run such a program, it seems to ignore or bypass the G93 modal command,
resetting to G94 mode. The other modal commands which are active are those
which load in with the default, axis.ngc , tool path. I am using 2.4.3 on 10.04.
Apart from the above mentioned, I'm very pleased with LinuxCNC.

This is just a guess but what happens if you have G93 Fn on every line?

Thanks for the suggestion Big John but no luck.
The program ran through the lines of code and
moved the machine
but refused to go into g93 mode. It's as if there
is a conflict with another setting.

Might try g17.1 tomorow morning. Slim chance.

Just in case movement is using g93 i'll try your
idea again but with a full circular toolpath in g1
code because I can judge it better.Off to bed!
