add a temporary offset was created by steeley
I need to shift my z axis up by 7mm half way through a gcode file.
Can't find the particular gcode to do this despite hours of searching.
I tried g54 but it didn't seem to do anything.

G54 is to select a coordinate system not change an offset. Having said that you could touch off your Z in G55 at the different position and switch to G55 until you wish to switch back.
