G-Code Error? was created by Todd Zuercher
This one has me stumped.
I am having trouble running a file. It loads and displays in the back plot fine. But when running it stops around line 890, setting an alarm "Circular move on line 2968 would exceed joint 8's negative limit." But there isn't a circular move involving joint 8 (the W-axis) on line 2968 or anywhere else in the file that I'm aware of.
The machine I am running this on is a 3-axis router with a second spindle mounted to a W-axis (so technically a 4 axis machine). We use it to do router engraving 2 at a time. The G-code is generated with only XYZ and the W is inserted at load time with a script file.
Running this on 2.7.0-pre7
Attached is the script file and the G-code file.

You zip file does not contain the gcode.
What are your machine limits?

The limits for the Z and W are 0 to -8 inches
The G54 offset is approximately -1.5" for Z and W
No tool offsets are used.
This same code runs fine on a different machine (not running Linuxcnc)
The same design output without arcs runs fine. Limits should not be an issue.

If you select "edit" from the Axis menu can you save the final version of the G-code?
It will help a lot to see what actual code is being run.

I thought when I tried that only the pre filtered file showed up in gedit the same as what I attached. and is why I included the file filter script.

I received this error (Circular Move on Line 21 would exceed joint 8's negative limit) again today on a different machine right after upgrading to 2.7 from 2.6. There isn't a joint 8 (W-axis) command anywhere in this file. Went back to 2.6 and the same file runs fine.
Attached is the file.
This smells a lot like a bug to me.

Here is one of the configs that are messing up for me. Running the above file in the 9axis sim in 2.7 seems to run ok, but not in the attached config. I don't understand what is wrong.
