Hello,

i hope i am not getting annoying but i cannot open the Servo Tuning tab. nothing happens, restarted linuxcnc and the whole pc but still doesnt open.

i have searched in the internet but havent found a solution.

Do you mean the calibrate menu in Axis?

This allows you to conveniently tweak tuning parameters in real time
and give you the option to save them back to your ini file

My guess is that its some issue with your .ini file

It looks for certain entries in the INI file.

Hmmm... I wonder if those entries have different names in 2.8?

Seems not, this old bug tracker indicates that something happened, just not exactly the right thing.

Now support additional stanza names:
   [JOINT_N]name=value (suffix N is a joint number)
   [AXIS_L]name=value  (suffix L is an axis letter)
   [TUNE]name=value    (no suffixes for the [TUNE] stanza)

Have you tried running linuxcnc from the console, and watching for any error messages when you click the configuration button?
