Hello out there, i'am new on emc2.4 and ubuntu. I tryed now to connect a usb joypad. The joypad works with
jstest /dev/input/js0.
But it dose not work with
$halrun
halcmd: loadusr hal_input -d /dev/input/js0 -p joypad
halcmd: No input devices could be opened. This usually indicates a misconfigured
system. Please read the section 'PERMISSIONS AND UDEV' in the hal_input
manpage

please give me a little help.

the last parameter needs to be a unique string found in the name that the joypad declares itself as, so if the joypad doesn't call itself a joypad, hal_input won't find it with that parameter set.

The page linked by Rick G tells you how to find the name that the joypad gives itself.

You are out of HAL and into Linux now, I think. You might find an answer on Google. .
I wonder if you need usb_hid?

It would help if you posted what actions you took, and what results you received.
