HAL - blocking accidental program execution via HAL

During a manual toolchange swap - the door to the machine is open. Before unlocking the door - the existing Deckel/MAHO safety systems in combination with my HAL code make sure that any program is paused, the spindle is idle, that the speeds are much lowered and that the torque is limited/clamped.

But I would like to block (accidental) resume/start of the gcode, ideally via HAL, after that time too; until the door is locked again. This including any key press on the pendant.

How do I do this - as it seems that setting

       halui,program,pause bit in
              pin for pausing a program

to one is only sensitive to a rising edge; but later halui, program, resume bit in

       halui,program.,resume bit in
              pin for resuming a program

       halui,program,run bit in
              pin for running a program

override it. Any suggestions or examples I could look at ?

Thanks !

Dw.

Halui is really designed to allow HMI control via external buttons so using an edge on a momentary switch makes sense.
Pause/Resume also makes sense to continue after a pause.

There is a forum section called hal examples. dig into it and there is a run/step, pause/resume example.
