OKUMA LB15ii-M Retrofit Turret Clamp questions??? was created by isaac
Hello.
I am retrofitting this OKUMA LB15ii-M live tooling lathe.
Does anyone know how the Turret clamp works??
To index the turret tool, I have a Servo and works fine….
But I dont understand How the turret Hydraulics works to clamp the turret.
I already checked all the electrovalves; tailstock, brake and chuck worked fine.
I hope someone can help me to understand the turret clamp.

I don't remember on the Okuma, but the normal setup is a curvic coupling to align the turret. Look at the link for a little more info.

Thanks Scott for yor replay.
In this case it is not a curvic coupling.... The servo moves the plate to the corret tool and it is a Hydraulic clamp.....
Today i checked and my problem was that the Hydraulics hoses were connected wrong...... I fixed the hoses and now it is working as i expected...
I will continue with the retrofit....
Thanks
