Hello everybody.
I'm sitting here in front of a problem. I want to extend the machine by my colleague from the current 4 axes X-Y-Z-A to 5-axis X-Y-Z-A-C.
In the spring of Sarah wrote to me on the forum a custom firmware for the existing hardware previously also really great was. For two weeks we are now sitting on it and do not find the error.
I have now again a Hal and INI of the two configurations. To test if the P2 header we have to work at the A axis once configured on P3 and once on the P2 where the 5th axis so C should be later.
Could you please check times as I the files must now together copy I get an X-Y-Z-A-C machine.

In the ini I have already extended to 6 axes and the C axis inserted in the ad was then already visible. In the hal I then in 4 Achs the section A machine copied to the Hal and everything for A axis was renamed C. Unfortunately, it does not really

Thanks for your help
And beautiful greetings

The screen photo is a bit hard to read.

Can you copy and paste the text from dmesg?

It looks like the 4th stepgen is on the second connector. But I think I see hints of a stepgen,5 on the first connector.

You have only STEP stepgen 5 on that setup, you also need to add stepgen 5 for DIR.

It looks like stepgen 5 is intended as a chargepump signal source (thats why it has no DIR signal)
That is, there are 6 stepgens (0..5) 0..4 are for 5 motion axis and stepgen 5 is just intended as
a square wave signal generator

No problem, its a rather odd and non-obvious use of a stepgen
