How does the current rating of the motors compare to that of the drivers?

According to a spec sheet I found on the web (attached) the drives are good for 1.4A / phase.

That is a nice price on those drives, but i would advice to stear clear of 5 phase setups that are not a turn key option. It is not easy for begginers to figure out the wiring and those drives have plenty of options on them.
So however cheap they may seem, it is much better to get 2 phase motors and drives, and there are plenty of cheap bundles on the net.

I have heard that 5-phase steppers have some advantages, but maybe harder to make to work.

Are the Slo-Syn motors definitely steppers? They look slightly servo-ish.

No idea what the big card is. Is there a makers name?

One of the detail pictures shows 5-phase drivers. These can only be used with 5-phase motors, which are only made by one company - Oriental Motor, under license from Berger-Lahr. These are not compatible with other 2-phase stepper motors.

As the seller told me all parts on pictures (and many more) are from some expensive big format photo printer.
I googled a lot about those industrial parts. There are almost no wiring diagrams,or other useful schemes about these motors, drivers, ect.
So i decided to go "easier" path with 2/4 phase stepper/drivers. That is very well documented and well known topic here, and on other cnc/ 3d print communities.
Thank You all.
P.S. The seller sold everything from pic 1 meanwhile, so another reason, to buy something else. :-)

Those are from photocopiers, they look like 5 phase motort and drives, so they are most probably specialy made for that purpose. All that i have are specialy purposed with their own controllers and some of them have separate current limiters. To date i have not seen any 5 phase that can be controlled by step/dir or up/down or quadrature signals. On the other side i had some 3 phase steppers and drives with step/dir and microsteping and enable signals.
Information above pertains to drives from photocopiers.
