i need a bitfile for the boards 7i92+7i76+7i85s.
Unfortunately there is no suitable bitfile in the download archive: www.mesanet.com/software/parallel/7i92.zip.
So I have tried to generate a bitfile myself. Without success.
I have opened the project seveni92.xise.
Then I added the missing file PIN_7I76_7I85SD_34.vhd to the library.
This card is selected: use work.i92_x9card.all;
This pin file is selected: use work.PIN_7I76_7I85SD_34.all;
The generation of the bitfile ends with this error message:
ERROR:Place:543 - This design does not fit into the number of slices available
in this device due to the complexity of the design and/or constraints.
ERROR:Place:543 - This design does not fit into the number of slices available
in this device due to the complexity of the design and/or constraints.
ERROR:Place:543 - This design does not fit into the number of slices available
in this device due to the complexity of the design and/or constraints.
ERROR:Place:120 - There were not enough sites to place all selected components.
Some of these failures can be circumvented by using an alternate algorithm
(though it may take longer run time). If you would like to enable this
algorithm please set the environment variable XIL_PAR_ENABLE_LEGALIZER to 1
and try again
ERROR:Pack:1654 - The timing-driven placement phase encountered an error.
What am I doing wrong? With other pin files (e.g. PIN_7I76x1D_34.vhd) it works without errors.
Kind regards
Roland

Here's a bitfille and patched pin file that does fit (by dropping one stepgen)

With the patched file PIN_7I76_7I85SD_34.vhd the bitfile generation is now also working for me.

The files you uploaded are gone by now. In case you still have them around, could you please reupload them?
That would make me a very happy chappy!

I dig out this thread, because I'm also looking for a suitable bitfile.
However, I have a 7i92TM -> 7i76 -> 7i85 (without S)
Would the bitfile posted above also work for my card configuration?
Thanks and greetings
Olli

Yes I have.Did you download the support files from Mesa, check if that firmware is already there.
7i92t_7i76_7i85sd.bin
7i92t_7i76_7i85sd.pin
I have a 7i85 (without extension)
Does this still fit?
