Mesa 7i96 5v power input was created by EddieM
I have received my Mesa 7i96. I am rebuilding my first cnc router from scratch. Migrating from Arduino Uno GRBL and mostly the rewiring is obvious.
The manual indicates a 5v and gnd input on T3 and also two 5v and gnd inputs on TB3 pin 20-23. Do I need to supply multiple 5v inputs? Do they supply different functionalities on the board or are they actually the same connection? If I supply T3 then can I use the TB3 connections for outputs like for power to limit switches circuits?

The 5V connections are all common so yes, you can use the TB3 pins as
5V outputs if its convenient

Is the 7i96 schematic drawing available or is that proprietary?

I don't have a pdf-ized schematic for the 7I96 but I can make one
There's nothing proprietary,
If you have a specific question I can answer it.

Nothing specific at the current time. If it's not too much trouble, I would be interested in having a schematic in PDF or even Eagle. Thanks.

Bumping this instead of making a new post.
What is the required power supply current for the 7I96? Can i just power this board from my computer USB 5V rail? With the data lines shorted it provides 1A before cutting out.

Yes, USB power is usually sufficient (even 250 mA is enough if you don't have
much external 5V load), _but_ you do lose isolation between the PC and
the control if you use USB power.
