Mesaflash Firmware was created by paulsao
Greetings everyone, I want to use the ohmic component to change my plasma table from float switch to one of ohmic sense, so I investigated I need to write the firmware 7i96pl.bit to enable the encoder input that I need to connect my THCAD, which I need Is it help with how to burn my firmware with (Mesaflash) and know if that changes the current configuration of my table?

To get mesaflash, you can follow the instructions here
github.com/LinuxCNC/mesaflash
I think it may also be included in the linuxcnc-dev package.
mesaflash --help will give you the syntax
It will not affect your current config at all. It jut puts extra encoder A's on the Encoder B and Index pins. These will show up under encoder in halshow (power cycle the Mesa card first)
You'll need my component. When you get there, ask and I'll dig it out for sharing (but I need to be at work)

Thanks Rodw for your great help, now I want to assemble the electrical circuit and I saw this diagram that I attached, I have another thcad-10 that I am going to use, my question is the following: I do not have a torch with an isolation (shield) I can connect directly to the torch without isolating, I have a low frequency plasma, I think the THCAD is designed for that and the only problem could be the power source but the relay already protects it, if you can give me some advice I would appreciate it.

I'm not aware of anybody using on an unshielded torch like yours.
Provided you use an isolated power supply like the (Meanwell HDR-15-24), it should work.
That means you will have overvoltage protection to 500 volts in the circuit.
In testing, even with a shielded torch, we do see the torch voltage in the circuit when cutting, So I'm sure its OK.
You will need to calculate the correct resistor to give 24.5 volt approx with the THCAD-10

You can also use my configuration tool to flash the 7i96.

I see that was recently added so I need to update my configuration tool. I'll do that in the morning...
